JAN PIERRE LETKEMAN
March 22, 1975 - January 30, 2011

Jan Pierre Letkeman, age 35, beloved son of Miriam Born-Storm, and John Letkeman, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 30, 2011, in Winnipeg, MB. He was predeceased by his precious sister, Trudy Maria Letkeman, and
grandfather, David D. Letkeman.

Besides his parents, he leaves to mourn his step-parents Robbis Storm and Bibi Bellotto; his girlfriend, Ashley Lynne Bolton of Winnipeg; three grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members spread
across Canada and the USA.

Funeral services are Saturday, February 5, 2011, at 1:00 PM at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook at William, Winnipeg, MB. Viewing will begin at 11:30 AM, prior to the service. Cremation will be followed by interment at
Steinbach Memorial Cemetery.

SHAUN JAMES WIEBE

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shaun James Wiebe. He was born on January 29, 2011 to James and Melissa Wiebe, and we were blessed with 23 hours together before Shaun passed on peacefully in his home.

He is survived by his grandparents Cornelius and Margaret Wiebe of Aylmer, Ontario; Ron and Linda Buhler of Mitchell; his great grandmother Helen Buhler of Steinbach; as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Shaun was diagnosed with Anencephaly in September 2010, and although his time with us was short, God used him to impact the people around him in incredible ways.

The funeral for Shaun James Wiebe will be held at Calvary Chapel, 30 McKenzie Av., on Saturday, Feb 5, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. Interment at Heritage Cemetery.

Abraham (Abe) J. Wolfe, 85, of Tourond passed away Monday, January 31, 2011 at Ste. Anne Hospital.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Agatha (nee Sawatzky), three daughters Betty (Ed) Hildebrand, Susan (Richard) Hildebrand both of Steinbach, Pat (David) Brandt of Mitchell; three sons David (Connie), Frank both of Tourond and Darcy (special friend Sheryl) of Steinbach; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by one grandson and one great grandson.

Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on Thursday, February 3 at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m.

MARJORIE HAEGEMAN

Marjorie Haegeman, 71, of Steinbach, MB passed away Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Bethesda Hospital.

She is survived by her husband Roland, two daughters, three sons and their families. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Ivan in 2008.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Mitchell CMC Church on Friday, February 4 at 2:00 p.m. Ash interment at a later date.

Linda Dueck of Steinbach passed away Friday, January 28, 2011 at Bethesda Hospital at the age of 49.

She is survived by her husband Gord, one daughter, two sons and their families as well as by one sister, three brothers and their families and by her father Cornie Stoesz.

Viewing will be held at Southland Community Church, Hwy 52 W, Steinbach on Wednesday, February 2 at 7:00 with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. and at the church prior to the service.

CLAIRE PERREAULT

Claire (Boutin) Perreault passed away peacefully at Villa Youville in Ste. Anne, MB on Friday, January 28, 2011 at age 91.

She is survived by six children: Marie-Jeanne Plouffe, John (Rolande), Denise (Henry) Dyck, Olive, Emile (Alice) and Denis; and son-in-law Harvey Kornelson. She also leaves to mourn her passing 19 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Jean-Baptiste, daughters Lorraine and Yvonne Kornelson and son-in-law John Plouffe.

George Neufeld, age 76, of Niverville passed away at the Victoria Hospital in Winnipeg on Tuesday, January 25, 2011.

He is survived by his wife Mary-Ann, two sons and their families, two sisters and six brothers.

SUSAN HARDER

1926 -2011

On January 24, 2011 Susan Harder died peacefully at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Steinbach, MB.

She was predeceased by her parents, Abraham and Mary Giesbrecht, her first husband, John Hiebert, husband Jacob D. Harder, son Jeffery, her eldest stepson Gordon Harder, brother Gordon Giesbrecht and sister Anne Unger.

She is survived by her brother Jim Giesbrecht, her stepchildren, Daria (Gordon), Rosemarie (Wayne Croom), Larry (Kathryn McLaughlin), and Danver (Kim) as well as six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

A memorial service was held in Steinbach at Rest Haven Nursing Home.

PETER CHUBATY

On Sunday, January 23, 2011, Peter Chubaty at age 87, beloved husband, father, and dido passed away peacefully at the Seven Oaks Hospital and went home to be with his Heavenly Father.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Anne of 65 years; his daughter Alice Grywinski; his son Nestor (Marian); grandchildren Larysa, Melanie, and Jeremy; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He is also survived by two sisters, Adele Lacko (Andy) and Fay Podolsky; and three brothers, Willie, Walter (Elaine), and Johnny.

Family and friends are invited to join us for prayers on Thursday, January 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive in Steinbach and / or Divine Liturgy on Friday, January 28 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Eucharist Church at Rosa, MB with interment at the church cemetery. Edmond Saindon of Steinbach passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011at Bethesda Hospital at the age of 66 years. He is survived by: his wife, Lorraine; sons Ray (Lori) and Mitch (Georgina); grandchildren Melissa, Daniel, Courtney, and Cayden; five sisters and two brothers. Edmond was predeceased by his mom and dad and one brother.

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce Florence Delorme (nee Dubois) passed away after a courageous battle with cancer and diabetes on January 21, 2011.

She is predeceased by her husband Herb, son Albert, daughter Florence, son-in-law Charles, her parents Marie Louise Dubois and Frank Dubois, one sister Delima  and brothers Frank, Jean-Baptiste, William and Herman.

Diedrich Krahn, 93, of Grunthal, MB passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the St. Pierre Hospital.

He is survived by four daughters, seven sons and their families. He was predeceased by his wife Anna and one son Diedrich in infancy.

Alison Jane Menhenitt (Janey) aged 40, originally from Sittingbourne in Kent, UK, lately of Grunthal, passed away suddenly, after an impossibly valiant battle, on January 19, 2011 in St Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg.

She is survived by her loving husband Rob and their son Michael, her mother, Jackie, brothers and sisters; Michael, Michelle, Stephen and Susan.

Her wish was that she be cremated, and a memorial service will be held on Friday, January 28 at 4:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach.

If people would wish, in lieu of flowers, it would be a wonderful gesture to make donations for the Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit Education Fund as they were incredibly good to Janey and to her family who were by her side at the end.

Michael Wepruk died peacefully at the Personal Care Home in Vita, Manitoba on January 15, 2011, age 97.

Dad will be greatly missed by his children: Pat (Marc Chabot), James (Denise) and Jackie (Rick Austin). He leaves behind to mourn his passing: his beloved brothers Paul (Alice), Bill (Dorothy) and Stan (Elma), his grandchildren: Tamara Wiebe, Corey (Sonja), Laurier and Patrick; great-grandchildren: Micayla, Shayda, Jadyn and Ryleigh and a multitude of nephews and nieces. January 19, 1963 – January 12, 2011
Gérard P. Fillion passes away accidentally January 12, 2011 near his home by St-Joseph, Manitoba at the age of 47 years.

Gérard was predeceased by his brother Jacques in 1971.  He will be dearly missed by his father and mother Marcel and Adeline Fillion, his wife Marilyn (Friesen) Wall and four daughters: Luda (Jeff Calder), Berlyn, Hadrian and Leevon; two brothers: Denis (Réjane) Fillion, Michel Fillion (Rick Irving), three sisters: Gisèle (Don Sabourin), Janine (Niel Wiebe), Adéline (Rick Selwood) and their families.

Prayer service will be on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 7:30 pm from the Roman Catholic Church in St-Joseph, Manitoba with Mass of Resurrection on Wednesday, January 19, 2010 at 1:30 pm from the Roman Catholic Church in St-Joseph, Manitoba.  Cremation has taken place; inurnment will take place at a later date.

With sad hearts and wonderful memories, the family of Jake Hiebert of Grunthal announces his passing at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach on January 7, 2011 at the age of 75 with his family by his side.

He was predeceased by his devoted and loving wife of 50 years, Hanna on June 12, 2010. He will also be lovingly remembered by his brothers, sisters and many friends he made during his life journey.

Peacefully on Thursday January 6, 2011 at Bethesda Hospital, with family at her side, Maria Doerksen passed away at the age of 87 years.

Maria Janz, 99, of Grunthal passed away Thursday, January 6th, 2011, at the Menno Home in Grunthal.

Left to mourn her passing is her dear husband Lorne Toews, her sister Sarah Friesen and two sisters-in-law Annie Reimer and Betty Reimer; as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.

The funeral has taken place on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Prairie Rose EMC Church in Landmark, with interment at the church cemetery.

Lena Feilberg, 101, of East Braintree, MB passed away at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach on Monday, January 3, 2011.

She was predeceased by her husband Carl Feilberg.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Monday, January 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach.

July 17, 1924 - January 2, 2011

On Sunday, January 2, 2011, David Falk, aged 86 years, passed away peacefully at his home with his family at his side. Dave leaves to mourn his wife Louise (Schalla) of 62 years, his children Clarence (Marcelle), Norman (Connie), Gordon (Joanne) and Beverly and his grandchildren Jarrod (Megan), Dana, Eric, Ian, Whitney (Ryan) and Amy. He is survived by one brother George (Tina) and was predeceased by his parents Peter and Suzanne, 6 brothers and 4 sisters.

The family would like to thank neighbours Harold and Jean Borkowsky, the palliative care program, homecare and Dr. Krahn, as well as everyone that has helped over the past year and kept him in their thoughts and prayers.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Memorial Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Officiating is Pastor Al Maier, with the Funeral Service taking place Wednesday, January 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 465 Henry Street, Steinbach, MB with viewing prior to the service.
