Break-ins, thefts in Steinbach

Steinbach RCMP are investigating a rash of break-ins that happened last week. Police are looking for any witnesses to this incident early Tuesday morning or anyone that can help identify the person of interest in the photograph.

On Tuesday, at approximately 12:55 am, a male attempted and gained entry to several vehicles in the 500 block of Main Street in Steinbach. Police have released an image from a security camera with hopes of identifying the individual in the photograph.

There were more complaints on Friday with people reporting that their vehicles and/or garages were broken into. In some of the cases, various items were stolen. It’s believed that all of the incidents happened early Friday morning.

Police are encouraging all residents to ensure that all vehicle doors are locked when not in use and to report any suspicious behaviour. Steinbach RCMP are also advising not to leave any valuables inside the vehicle if possible or keep valuables out of sight.
