Alcohol is a factor in an ATV crash where the lone adult male involved, who was not wearing a helmet, is in life-threatening condition, said La Broquerie fire chief Alain Nadeau.

The man fell off his quad in the early morning Saturday at the corner of Nadeau Street and Habs Bay, he added. Emergency staff were called around 12:30 a.m.

Nadeau said the driver was attempting to turn east off of Nadeau Street, a paved road, when he lost control.
