Anne of Green Gables performers sought

The Steinbach Arts Council is seeking actors and actresses from the Southeast to take to the stage as members of the cast of the musical, Anne of Green Gables. The arts council’s latest community musical effort, which will run from April 30 to May 3, follows on the success of The Sound of Music last year.

Auditions are being held on Dec. 13 and 14 for principal, secondary and chorus roles in the show. Auditions can be booked by visiting http://sac.scheduletime.net, calling the arts council office at 204-346-1077 or sending an email to events@steinbachartscouncil.ca.

Rehearsals will be held primarily on Saturdays through March and April with a busier rehearsal expected in the latter half of April. Actors cast in principal roles can also expect one weekly weeknight rehearsal as well.

Tickets are already on sale through the arts council office for the production which is part of the SAC concert series that kicks off with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra holiday pops concert next week on Dec. 2.
