Southland giveaway draws huge crowd

The lineup was large at Southland Church on Friday morning as the church threw open its doors for its 11th annual Thanksgiving Food and Clothing Drive.

Last year’s event attracted 2,300 people while distributing 33,000 pounds of food and 27,000 pounds of clothing, shoes, toys, bedding and household items.

All donations have been provided from Southland Church members.

The food and clothing drive will be open until 7 p.m. on Friday evening.
