At least one individual bothered by off-road trail users south of Marchand has intentionally hidden sharpened pieces of metal in the ground to cause harm, the police believe.

Sprague RCMP is seeking the public’s help in finding whoever committed a criminal offence they say may result in a prison sentence and substantial fine.

Last weekend two individuals driving off-road vehicles struck the partially buried pieces of metal, causing tire blowouts and endangering drivers, the police said.

RCMP suggests the perpetrators may be concerned with ATV use near their residence but warned those frustrated should bring their concern to the municipality and police and not “escalate the situation by endangering lives.”
