A 14-year-old boy has been transported to Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach for assessment purposes after the vehicle he was a passenger in was rear-ended immediately west of Grunthal Sunday afternoon.

According to St Pierre-Jolys RCMP Cst. Patrick Simard, the driver of a black Ford truck travelling west on PR 205 had come to a complete stop and was waiting for other drivers to move out of the way in order to turn left onto Cottonwood Road. Before that turn happened, the truck was run into from behind by a grey Honda car.

There were three occupants in the truck, two of which were children. The 14-year-old boy was the lone individual brought to hospital. The driver of the car was assessed on the scene.
