A whole lot of interesting cooking classes are coming up next month as the Steinbach Arts Council gets ready to bring students into the kitchen for basic cooking lessons.

Creative cooking classes will allow students to experience the culinary arts with culture and creativity being brought into each lesson.

Instructor Cassandra Milcharek has put together an intriguing lineup for the 10-week session including a Ukrainian Feast, Chinese night and Italian Fused-Baked Cannelloni night.

She hopes these lessons will encourage people to have fun in the kitchen while trying new things and creating their own unique recipes.

Some students might be surprised at the very basic tools being used in the cooking classes. That is done with good reason. Milcharek wants people to know that they can do so much with food without the use of expensive or complex machines.

Classes begin Feb. 2 at SAC.
