Deacon’s Corner death treated as suspicious

Police believe the death of a woman they found in a motel at Deacon’s Corner along Highway 1 Sunday morning is suspicious.

Oakbank RCMP received a call for service at approximately 7 a.m. Sunday. They located the deceased female in a room of the motel upon arrival.

The police’s investigation is ongoing. “D” Division Major Crime Services, along with the Winnipeg RCMP Forensic Identification Services, are assisting the police.
