Diner robbery latest theft investigation

Steinbach RCMP are trying to identify a suspect in an armed robbery on Friday. Police responded at about 6 p.m. to the report at JT’s Diner in Blumenort.
The suspect is described as 5’8″-5’10”, wearing a beige “Carhartt-type” jacket, black pants, and a lime green “Scream-style” ghost mask. The suspect is believed to have been in possession of a weapon at the time.
RCMP are also investigating a break-in on Oct. 29 at the Manitoba Hydro compound on Highway 52 sometime between 12 a.m. and 5:26 p.m. Two weeks earlier, between Oct. 12 at 5 p.m. and Oct. 13 at 7:45 a.m., tools and equipment were stolen from the same location. No items were taken during the most recent break-in.
The detachment is also seeking the public’s assistance identifying a suspect that stole $300 in merchandise from Staples in Steinbach on Nov. 1.
