Spring flood conditions continue to be dependent on weather conditions but the risk of overland flooding has decreased since February, the province said in flood forecast update issued on Friday.

The province indicated in its latest update that the chance of Highway 75 closing is low as expected flows along the Red River have eased.

Unfavourable weather could still change that forecast, the province cautioned.

Forecasted flood levels along the Red River from Emerson to the Winnipeg floodway are in line with 2013, unfavourable weather could push levels to 2010 conditions. Along the Roseau River, the province indicated that levels are tracking to also be similar to 2013 and, with adverse weather, similar to 2011.
