One person was transported to hospital after her vehicle was t-boned in a crash northeast of Steinbach early Friday evening.

The driver of a westbound SUV on Clearspring Road did not see the stop sign due to the setting sun, according to Steinbach RCMP Cst. Mike Turner, so she kept driving and ran into a northbound SUV on Road 37E. The collision sent both vehicles in the ditch and resting against the tree line.

The northbound vehicle landed on its side and its driver was sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The other driver did not require emergency assistance.
