The lagoon expansion in the RM of La Broquerie and the first phase of an underground water and wastewater infrastructure renewal project in Steinbach will be cost-shared by the federal, provincial and municipal government levels.

Provencher MP Ted Falk announced yesterday his government will financially support six infrastructure projects in his constituency.

Aside from funding for the lagoon upgrade that has been cited as a top priority by the RM of La Broquerie, other projects benefitting from government money are a wastewater lift station in the Town of Ste Anne, upgrades to the drinking water infrastructure in the RM of Ritchot, recycling depots in the RM of Piney and a sewage lift station and forcemain upgrade in the Springfield municipality.

The three governments will split the costs of each of the six projects at a cost of $2,090,500 per. The total price tag for the six projects is $6,271,500.
