Highway 75 was closed south of Winnipeg Sunday for the majority of the day amid blizzard-like conditions through the Red River Valley.

The province closed the major roadway to the American border in the morning, citing low visibility. It was reported Sunday night around 10 p.m. that the road had been reopened.

Environment Canada reported Sunday morning that blizzard conditions developed from Lake Manitoba through Elie, as well as Morris and Emerson, resulting in blowing snow and poor visibility. Winds are not quite as strong in surrounding areas.
