Ste Anne police say that an explosion on Sunday afternoon at a home on Gagnier Bay was tied to drugs.

Ste Anne Sgt Doug Davis says it appears the garage in the home was the site of hash oil production and that the lighting of a cigarette triggered the blast in the poorly ventilated garage.

The explosion, which occurred around 3:45 p.m., blew off the garage door and pushed out the north wall of the garage.
