A male suspect left a RM of Springifeld home with an undisclosed amount of cash on Wednesday around 11:50 a.m., after kicking in the front door of the residence while armed with a firearm and demanding money from a resident.

It is believed that the suspect was familiar with the home and did not choose the residence at random.

RCMP said a passing motorist may have noticed the getaway vehicle and are asking for witnesses to contact police if they may have been cut off or noticed any erratic driving in the 25000 block of Dugald Road/Highway 15 between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
