Manitoba Hydro has said a planned power interruption to customers on Oct. 8 is required to perform major maintenance at Elma substation.

Hydro will interrupt electrical service to customers in the Hadashville, Elma, Prawda, McMunn, East Braintree and Medika areas tomorrow from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Approximately 830 customers will be affected.

Hydro said in a release that the outage is needed to allow Manitoba Hydro crews to safely reconfigure conductors and perform other work at the Elma substation. The work will improve the delivery of electricity in the area.
