Hydro selects preferred line route

Manitoba Hydro has released information on its preferred route for the Manitoba-Minnesota Transmission Project.
Public open houses will take place in February and March in communities in Southeastern Manitoba and in Winnipeg to present the preferred route for the Manitoba-Minnesota Transmission Project.
Information and feedback gathered during the upcoming months will help to determine the final placement of the route and will contribute to the completion of the environmental impact statement. The final preferred route will be submitted this summer for regulatory approval to Manitoba Conservation and Water Stewardship and the National Energy Board.
The open houses will run from 3 to 8 p.m. on the following dates and locations:
Feb. 10 – Zhoda, Community Centre, corner of Road no. 16 & Balla Road
Feb. 11 – Piney, Community Centre, Hwy. 89
Feb. 12 – Winnipeg, Holiday Inn South, 1330 Pembina Hwy.
Feb. 17 – La Broquerie, Arena Hall, 35 Normandeau Bay
Feb. 24 – Ste. Anne, Seine River Banquet Centre, 80A Arena Rd.
March 4 – Headingley, Community Centre, 5353 Portage Ave.
March 5 – Oak Bluff, Recreation Centre, 101 MacDonald Rd.
March 11 – Richer, Richer Young at Heart Community Club, Dawson Rd. at Provincial Road 302
March 12 – Dugald, Community Centre, 544 Holland St.
