Impaired at the hospital

In the middle of Thursday afternoon, Steinbach RCMP were alerted to an impaired driver who had been at Bethesda Hospital around 2 p.m. A 64-year-old Steinbach man was located at the hospital and taken into custody for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. Breath samples later confirmed the driver had a blood alcohol content of nearly three times the legal limit.

The man was released and is expected in court in Steinbach next month.
