The top vote getter in the last two civic election campaigns is aiming for four more years. This October he will find out if he has the votes to be three times lucky.
Jac Siemens told The Carillon on Wednesday that he will be vying for a third term.
“We all have a vision for our community and, working together, I am confident we can make Steinbach a safe place to raise a family, live, ride a bike, work and worship,” Siemens says.
After eight years on council, Siemens has now become one of the old guard and if he has to choose, he says he’s enjoyed this term on council more than his first.
Openness has improved on this council, he says, including a willingness to look at a variety of options.
“I think this council has a bit of a bigger picture thinking,” Siemens says, praising his colleagues.
