Lorette grow-op busted

Two Lorette residents have been arrested after the discovery of a large marijuana grow-op in their residence.

St Pierre RCMP executed a search warrant on the evening of Sept. 7 at a house on Ferland Bay in Lorette.

Two pounds of processed dried marihuana, 123 plants in various stages of growth and drug paraphernalia were found in the building.

Dean Nault, 54, and Fawn Fontaine, 30, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, production of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The Office of the Fire Commissioner also attended the scene and deemed the home unsafe for habitation.
