Man drowns at Caddy Lake

A 26-year-old Winnipeg man drowned early Saturday morning at Caddy Lake in Whiteshell Provincial Park.
Falcon Beach RCMP received a report about 3:30 a.m. that the male had jumped off a dock to go for a swim. The man swam a short distance then began to struggle. He disappeared under the water and did not resurface.
Emergency crews performed CPR on the scene and continued as the man was transported to hospital where he pronounced dead.
An autopsy has been scheduled. Police said alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor.
