Morris teenager dies in collision

A 14-year-old female from the RM of Morris died on Sunday afternoon in a two vehicle collision near Kane.

Police responded around 2:30 p.m. to the scene of the accident, between a car and semi, at the junction of Highway 23 and PR 336.

The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car, a 48-year-old female also from the RM of Morris, was transported to hospital and is in critical condition.

The semi driver sustained minor injuries.

The cause of the collision is under investigation. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
