Less than a week after being elected to Ste Anne Town Council, the new government body met in council chambers to get organized. With each member new to office, CAO Nicole Champagne kept the agenda light; dealing only with matters that needed to be dealt with in a timely manner.

One of the pressing items on the agenda, who would serve as deputy mayor to fill in for Richard Pelletier when the mayor is unable to attend meetings or events. That role was handed to Yvan St Vincent. He received the support of everyone on council and he willingly accepted the title and duties that go with it.

Council will have its next meeting on Nov. 18.
