Niverville Fair starts Southeast summer fun

The Southeast’s 2017 summer festival seasons kicks off this weekend at the Niverville Old Tyme Country Fair.

The annual fair, which runs June 9 to 10, boasts a full weekend of activities, entertainment, food midway rides, and fun.

One of the fair’s biggest draws, their annual parade, will make its way around town from the Niverville Arena Saturday at noon.

Headlining the fair’s entertainment stage is Canadian country music acts Cold Creek County, The Washboard Union, Quinton Blair and The Big City All Star Band.

Looking for a bite to eat? Head over to the Friday night food festival which features food from the community’s local businesses, served from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday morning begins with a toonie pancake breakfast, served by Niverville’s firefighters at 8 a.m. Niverville Credit Union will served up a customer appreciation BBQ lunch Saturday at 11 a.m.

The midway open Friday at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday at noon.

Weekend passes are available online for $30 until June 10. Friday day passes for $15 and Saturday day passes for $15 (before 6 p.m.) and $25 (after 6 p.m.) are available only at the entrance gate. Kids two and under are free.

Midway ticket pricing, which is not included in gate admission, ranges from $10 to $45.
