The town of Niverville has already applied to the Manitoba Municipal Board for permission to annex land from the R.M. of Hanover and now council wants to give the public a chance to learn more about the plan.

Around 1,100 acres around the eastern and northern boundaries are being looked at to aid the town with growth. If Niverville is successful with this approach, the deal could have a significant impact on residential, commercial and industrial development including new educational facilities.

A public information meeting is taking place tonight at the town office on Main Street in Niverville. It will run from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.
