The Sunbeam Ladies of Steinbach Mennonite Church hold a perogy dinner each fall to raise funds that support M.C.C. programming overseas as well as a local organization. Today House, the emergency shelter in Steinbach, was chosen as the local recipient this year.

As people lined up for the homemade dinner, they took time to make a donation to support the two charitable organizations.

This fundraising event has seen a lot of success over the years and more people are stepping forward to help make the event an enjoyable and delicious evening. The ladies get their spouses involved with hosting the dinner while the youth group busily cleared tables.

It is not unusual for the dinner to raise over $6,000 to $8,000. The organizations are trusted to put the funds to use where the money is most needed.
