Steinbach Regional Secondary School will be on the receiving end of over $50,000 in funding for two of its trade and technology programs.

Education minister James Allum announced on Wednesday the school will be receiving nearly $33,000 to upgrade equipment in its collision repair program to give students new state-of-the-art computerized vehicle frame analysis equipment, which will be used to determine necessary repairs to return vehicle to pre-collision condition.

Another $21,000 is being directed to the school’s welding technology program, which is Level One Apprenticeship Manitoba accredited and recognized by the Canadian Welding Bureau.
