Arrests made in Woodridge theft

Sprague RCMP have located the two males and one female who they say entered the Vintage Corner Store in Woodridge last month and stole several cartons of cigarettes and a tub of tobacco.

After receiving several tips from the public, Kristopher Blake Fast, 31, of the RM of La Broquerie has been charged with theft under $5,000, mischief under $5,000 and failing to comply with the conditions of a recognizance. He has been remanded in custody.

A 31-year-old female from the RM of La Broquerie was also arrested and released. She faces charges of theft under $5,000 and mischief under $5,000 and is set to appear in court in Steinbach.

A third person, a 53-year-old man from the same municipality, was arrested and released without charge.

Sprague RCMP were assisted with the arrest by members of the Steinbach detachment and Steinbach General Investigation Section..

On Aug. 19 in the late afternoon, the female and one of the males kept watch at the convenience store while the other male forced his way into the supply room and filled his backpack with the stolen items. The three individuals then fled the scene in a four-door white Sedan.
