A high-level marijuana grow-op in the RM of Springfield has been dismantled by the RCMP.
Phuong Cam Lam, from Winnipeg, was arrested on June 29 after the RCMP raided a grow-op just east of Dugald days earlier.
When police entered the premises, they discovered a sophisticated marijuana grow operation, with concealed venting systems.
Manitoba Hydro came to the residence to address the extensive wiring and the Office of the Fire Commissioner inspected the property and deemed it unsafe for living until repairs were made.
The specialized unit dismantled the operation and seized 397 plants in various stages of growth, as well as growing equipment.
Lam has been charged with Production of a Controlled Substance, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Theft of Electricity.
He was released on a Promise to Appear in Winnipeg Court on August 20.
