Rash of rim thefts reported

RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in solving a theft complaint from a business on Highway 52 in Steinbach.
On May 16, police received a report of a theft of approximately 30 car rims, total value of approximately $2400, sometime between 6 p.m. on May 15 and 10 a.m. the following morning.
Earlier this week, RCMP asked for tips in a similar incident on May 14. Around 10 p.m. 20 used 22.5 aluminum truck rims, valued at about $4,000, were taken from a business on Clear Springs Road in Steinbach. In that incident, two males driving a dark coloured, late model mini van were sought.
