Three Dakota Ojibway Police Service employees from the Roseau River First Nation detachment will appear in court in December after being charged with unauthorized use of a credit card. A family member of one of the DOPS employees and one youth were also charged.

The offences are alleged to have occurred between January 22 and May 10 in the Altona and Morris area. RCMP say a DOPS credit card was used for personal purposes.

Sgt. Darryl Hunter, 32, Cst. Derek Smoke, 44, Robyn Hunter, 34, and a male youth, 17, all of Morris, as well as DOPS detachment clerk Julie Seniuk, 34, of Altona face charges.

RCMP said DOPS management had brought the concerns forward for review and investigation.

All five individuals will appear in Emerson Provincial Court on Dec. 9.
