A popular discount retailer will hope to win over budget-conscious local shoppers when it arrives next week.
Winners will open its new location at Clearspring Centre on Thursday, Mar. 26. The chain store, whose arrival was reported last October, moves into the more than 20,000 sq-ft. space once leased by Liquidation World.
The store’s grand opening ceremony will take place at 8:50 a.m. before opening to shoppers at 9 a.m
Winners provides brand name clothing, footwear, furniture and housewares at discounted prices.
A spokesperson for the retailer said the new store will employ 40-60 full and part-time associates. About 385 people attended a job fair last month.
Winners will present a $5,000 cheque to the Canadian Women’s Foundation during its grand opening.
