Springfield residents face drug charges

Eight RM of Springfield residents are alleged to have been involved in drug trafficking following a seven-month investigation by Oakbank RCMP that targeted the sale and production of cocaine and illegal counterfeit pills in Oakbank.

A search of an Oakbank residence on Wednesday found drugs and items used in drug trafficking, RCMP said in a press release.

Oakbank resident Tyler Augustine, 25, faces 13 counts of drug trafficking and one drug production charge.

RM of Springfield residents Dylan Hutchinson, 19, and Cole Zammit, 21, along with Oakbank resident Kelson Hopgood were also arrested and face trafficking charges.

Arrest warrants related to further drug trafficking charges have been issued for Oakbank residents Paul Caissie, 54, Allan Tanchak, 42, Daniel Searcy, 27, and Gabriel Labossiere, 29.
