St Jean Baptiste Days returns to celebrate French Canadian heritage in La Broquerie today and tomorrow.

Saturday’s events kicked off with a free pancake breakfast this morning.

A baseball and beach volleyball tournament will both run from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.

A fireworks display will light up the sky at 10:30 p.m.

The evening closes out with a social at the La Broquerie Arena. Hicktown, The Ultimate Escape, and That 70s Band will all perform. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

Sunday’s events begin with a church service at Saint-Joachim Parish at 10 a.m.

The parade begins at 11:30 a.m.

Afternoon activities, which run from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., include inflatable structures, bumper balls, carnival games, a petting zoo, and a mini-train. Park admission is $5.

A family softball tournament will also run throughout the day.

Musical acts will perform throughout Sunday afternoon. Nicolas and Alexandre, Red Moon Road, Faouzia and Samia, and Madame Diva will all grace the stage.
