Steinbach mayor elected to AMM executive

Steinbach mayor Chris Goertzen has joined the three-person executive of the Association of Manitoba Municipalities.
Goertzen was elected by his municipal colleagues yesterday as vice-president.
He is joined by Doug Dobrowolski, a councillor in the RM of Macdonald, who was once again acclaimed AMM president and RM of Morris reeve Ralph Groening as a fellow vice-president, rural. The two have served in their respective roles since 2008 and 2012, respectively.
Goertzen has high-level experience with AMM. The third-term mayor was elected to the board of directors, in AMM’s Eastern District, in November 2010.
The Association of Manitoba Municipalities is an organization of the province’s urban and rural municipalities.
