The first phase of the Lexington Village subdivision was given the go-ahead by Steinbach city council on Tuesday night.

The decision means work will soon begin on the first 14 lots to be established in the 74 acre parcel of land in the southwest corner of the city annexed from the RM of Hanover in 2012.

Goldmark Developments is the owner of the land. The first phase, which will use about 3.5 acres, is intended for single-family and duplex residential properties. The street will be known as Crescentwood Drive.
