The Carillon has been awarded four national newspaper awards.

The results of the Canadian Community Newspaper Awards were announced on Friday morning.

The Carillon was recognized with a first place award for the best editorial page in its circulation class, one of the competition’s general excellence categories.

Staff reporter Ian Froese collected a second place award in the best feature photo category for his efforts capturing the chuckwagon competition at the Morris Stampede.

The newspaper also garnered second place honours for its quarterly agriculture supplement, Agriculture Now, and a third place award in the best holiday edition category for its Christmas issue.
