“It looks more or less like a head-on collision,” Dyck said.

The adult male driver of the car was airlifted to Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg by STARS air ambulance. The two occupants of the truck, an adult male and adult female, were transferred by ground ambulance to Bethesda Hospital.

All had undetermined injuries at this time, Dyck said.

“We can’t say at this point how bad it is.”

Dyck says the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

UPDATE: In a press release on Sunday night, RCMP identified the driver of the car as a 19-year-old Steinbach man who, they said, has serious injuries. The two occupants of the truck were identified as a 55-year-old man and 55-year-old woman from Ste Anne. The two Ste Anne residents’ injuries were said to be non-life threatening.
