Tornado watch passes through

Environment Canada has downgraded the tornado watch they had in place for southeastern Manitoba to a severe thunderstorm watch shortly after 6:10 p.m.

Tornado watches were issued late this afternoon before 5 p.m. in Steinbach, Niverville and the municipalities of Hanover, La Broquerie, Ste Anne, Tache, De Salaberry, Stuartburn, Ritchot and Franklin.

Environment Canada warned at 6 p.m. that the severe thunderstorm is near Emerson and moving east.
