Train derails in Emerson

Emergency crews are on the scene of a train derailment in Emerson near 5th Street East and Taylor Avenue.

Emerson RCMP responded to a report of the derailment at 7:30 a.m. this morning. When police arrived they found that two cars, containing unscented propane, had derailed. No leaks have been detected.

RCMP said no one was injured in the incident.

40 people living within 100 metres of the site are being evacuated as a precaution.
