The Eastman Selects blanked the Winnipeg Thrashers 4-0 Thursday night in Beausejour to force and fifth and deciding game in their Manitoba ‘AAA’ Midget Hockey League quarter-final series.

That game will be played Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Gateway Arena in Winnipeg.

Goals by Matthew Osadick and Matthew Hill just 10 seconds apart early in the first period was all the offence the Selects needed in the game as goaltender Danton Belluk took over from there, making 31 saves to post the shutout.

Drew Draward and Dallon Wilton added two more goals for the Selects in the third.

The Selects, who will be the host team at the Telus Cup Western Regionals, March 30 to April 2 in Steinbach, finished sixth in the regular season standings with a record of 25-15-2-2, but were just five points back of the third place Thrashers.
