Wild blank Aces, CSHL finals tied

The Red River Wild blanked the Ste Anne Aces 3-0 Sunday afternoon at St. Jean to deadlock the Carillon Senior Hockey League championship series at one game apiece. Ste Anne won game one of the series, 3-2 Thursday at Ste Anne.

Marshall Cox posted the shutout making 32 saves. Marc Sabourin with a pair and Tyler Pchajek were the Red River goal scorers.

Game three in the best of seven series will be played Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. at Ste Anne.

Meanwhile, the Hanover Tache Junior Hockey League finals also continued Sunday at Oakbank as the Springfield Xtreme edged the Red River Mudbugs 3-2 in overtime on the winner from Riley Thomsen.

Springfield now leads the series 2-1. Game four in the best of seven finals will be played Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. at Oakbank.
