A certified financial planner and vice-president of the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce has joined the Bethesda Foundation board of directors.

A financial planner with Paul Craft Financial Inc. in Steinbach, Beaumont has worked in the financial services sector for more than 20 years. She specializes in philanthropy and “strategic charitable gifting,” the Bethesda Foundation said in a release.

In addition to her work with the chamber, Beaumont is a past president of Francofonds, a community foundation that supports francophone projects in Manitoba.

“We know Christine’s passion and perspective will be a huge asset,” Linda Peters, executive director of the Bethesda Foundation, said.

“Community is important to me, and thus volunteering with charities and non-profits is part of who I am. I look forward to helping out in the field of enhancing healthcare services with Bethesda Foundation,” Beaumont said.

The Bethesda Foundation was incorporated in 1980 to raise funds for health care and hospital improvements in and around Steinbach.
