Armed robbery suspect sought

Steinbach RCMP said Wednesday afternoon that an armed robbery suspect is being sought after an incident in Steinbach on Tuesday night.

On Aug. 7, about 10:30 p.m., police responded to a panic alarm at First Choice Convenience on Main Street.

Store employees stated that a male entered the store wearing a black ski mask, black hoodie and grey sweat pants. The male held a gun up and demanded cigarettes and money. When he had received the items he asked for he fled on foot northbound on Kroeker Avenue past the fire hall.
