Boy hurt in collision

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Fourth Street and Barkman Avenue in Steinbach on Wednesday afternoon around 4:15 p.m. after a collision was reported between a vehicle and a bicycle.

Assistant fire chief Mike Penner said a boy on a bicycle was crossing Barkman Avenue but did not yield for the oncoming vehicle.

Penner said the youth was conscious but had possibly suffered some broken bones in the collision.
