Child dies in La Broquerie accident

A two-year-old girl died on Sunday after being struck by a vehicle being driven on the driveway of her home in the RM of La Broquerie.

Steinbach RCMP were called to the scene around 7:50 p.m.

The girl was transported to hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Initial investigation has determined the child was struck by a vehicle on her driveway being driven by a 62-year-old male.

Alcohol and speed are not considered factors in the collision, police said.
