Chrysalis Fund lends a hand

Chrysalis Fund representatives Linda Peters, Audrey Loeppky, and Barb Johnson stopped by the Steinbach Community Outreach headquarters on Monday to present a cheque for $2,500 to Steinbach Community Outreach executive director Irene Kroeker on behalf of the Chrysalis Fund.

Steinbach Community Outreach, an organization that works to serve the poor and homeless in the community, will now use the money to enhance their preschool nutritional program.

The Chrysalis Fund is a Steinbach and area women’s giving circle that pools its resources and grants money to registered not-for-profit organizations that work with youth in the community.

Since its inception in 2009 Chrysalis Fund has handed out a total of $37,906.29 through its grant application process.
