An early morning collision on Monday near Ste Anne sent four people to hospital with serious injuries, after a pickup truck collided with a semi parked alongside the westbound lanes of the the Trans-Canada Highway.

An RCMP spokesperson said the incident occurred at about 1:35 a.m. on Monday morning, about ten kilometres east of Ste Anne.

The occupant of the semi was uninjured.

Police said alcohol is not believed to be a factor, but are investigating whether speed played a role in the collision.
