Fatal fire reported in Vita

RCMP said in a release on Tuesday afternoon that human remains were located at the site of a camper trailer fire in Vita early this morning.

The fire was reported to Emerson RCMP at about 2:35 a.m.

After the fire was extinguished, the human remains were located in a search of the camper by the Vita firefighters.

Police continue to investigate the fire, with assistance from the Office of the Fire Commissioner.
